Teacher resources
Let's face it teachers can use all the practical resources we can find, here are a few of my favorites.
CPALMS. Where Educators Go For Bright Ideas. Web. 26 June 2015.
http://www.cpalms.org/Public/search/Standard
I find this website to be extremely informative as it includes the Florida Standards which all teachers must use to form lesson plans as well as to gage themselves and ensure that their students’ educational goals are being met. Through this website you will find the standards for every subject being taught from dance to world languages. You will also find former standards up to 2008. There is a World languages section which can be very helpful with detailed lesson planning as it can inspire ideas as one goes over the various learning expectations based on the students’ mastery level. This website also provides additional resources which have been vetted by peers and experts, as well a self-paced training regarding various topics for teachers to take advantage of.
Tres Bien French. Lessons for learning French. Web. 26 June 2015.
http://www.tresbienfrench.com/lessons
This website provides a plethora of interactive information from in-depth lessons on grammar, to expanding students’ French vocabularies and more. It is easy to navigate and would be a wonderful aid to teachers for students who may need additional help with their homework. It provides thorough guidance on basic subjects such as numbers and colors, to more advanced conversational concepts on moods, professional jobs and careers, as well as banking and finance. It also provides games for students to indulge in. As a teacher, I would recommend this site to students and parents alike, it also provides many creative ideas which can be incorporated in the classroom and for everyday lessons. I’m happy to have found this site, I hope you all find it to be just as helpful.
Share My Lesson. By Teachers for Teachers. Web. 26 June 2015.
http://www.sharemylesson.com/home.aspx
This website was created for teachers which I feel is always helpful as teachers are usually better at creating lesson plans then novices. Not only does it include a variety of lesson plans specific to French, but it also provides social information on topics which affect the French culture. It offers grade and level specific material for students from kindergarten to grade 12, and it even has special activities for students who learn differently. This website also offers interactive activities as well as summer learning activities. It also provides you with a community of teachers with who you can collaborate, plan, and share feedback on just about any topic. Navigating this site is very easy as it is not cluttered and the graphics aren’t cartoonish which is sometimes a turn off for certain teachers.
Pimsleur Approach. French Lesson Plans. Web. 26 June 2015.
https://www.pimsleurapproach.com/resources/french/lesson-plans/
This website provides valuable lesson plans and concepts on topics like: describe and compare, culinary culture, the future, hobbies, jobs, family, and the house. Every single one of these topics come with a lesson plan, multiple worksheets, and multiple quizzes as well. It is easy to navigate and very user friendly. The graphics are simple and the color scheme is nice. It also provides vocabulary lists, useful links for students, tips on perfecting a French accent, details on the history of the French language, French articles, grammar guides, games, and videos. And the best part is that the site isn’t limited to French, it also provides all of the items I mentioned for languages from Cantonese, Czech, and Dutch to German, Italian, Farsi and Korean.
Bright Hub Education. Web. 26 June 2015.
http://www.brighthubeducation.com/french-lesson-plans/
This website contains valuable lesson plans and concepts on topics such as writing about family, the conditional mood, possessive adjectives, direct and indirect object pronouns and the completed past. It is important to note that these lesson plans are aimed at all school grades, from preschool and early education, to high school grades, and students who learn differently as well. It also offers quizzes, worksheets, and homework help. There are also French teaching tips written by teachers, the website aims to make the information easy to understand. And as a plus, they also have songs, poems, and games. But that’s not all, similarly to the websites I have mentioned previously, these lesson plans and concepts are also available for various languages such as Chinese, German, and Italian.

EDSITEment. The Best Of Humannities On The Web. We. 26 June 2015.
http://edsitement.neh.gov/lesson-plan/french-and-family#sect-resources
I personally like this website because I feel t matches the approach I want to take while teaching the French Language. It explains to teachers that certain students may at times be taken about by cultures that are different from their own, and that teaching a foreign language is a wonderful way to open the students’ minds to these beautiful other cultures and the impacts they may have on society. So this website gently touches on not only learning the French language but it provides clear and thorough objectives, instructions, and activities which empower teachers to successfully guide the students toward expending their minds through acceptance and tolerance. It is a very basic website which offers more resources for students and teachers of grades kindergarten to high school.
